I’m Dr Aneka K Patel, a GP and founder of Dr AKP Skincare, created in 2023 from my personal journey with severe eczema, which inspired my mission to create skincare that heals both skin and confidence. Blending medical expertise with my Indian heritage and interest in Ayurveda, I combine science-backed ingredients like Manuka honey with gentle botanicals to formulate products for sensitive, problem-prone skin — all free from harsh ingredients and unnecessary actives. The range includes five essentials designed to calm, balance, and support the skin barrier. Since launching in 2024, customers have reported reduced irritation and renewed confidence, while my workshops promote a holistic approach to skin health from within. The brand has been recognised with Best Holistic Wellness Product 2025 at the UK Beauty Awards and featured in Vanity Fair, reflecting its growing impact and mission to help people feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
