John Abbate

Westminster City Council (WCC) Economic Growth Team has the strategic responsibility for driving sustainable, inclusive growth for Westminster. The service area is responsible for attracting investment into Westminster, bringing character and vibrancy to our streets by activating vacant units and delivering and managing our portfolio of enterprise spaces. The service area acts as the business support arm of the Council, whether that’s through engaging with businesses around shop front improvements, promoting, and improving Westminster’s markets offer, connecting businesses to commissioned services or supporting Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). 

 

John Abbate is WCC’s Economic Growth Lead for High Street support and Meanwhile activations with over 30 years of retail experience in store design and visual merchandising. He is passionate about our high streets and supporting independent businesses.
